Mandacaru village #99150442
Description
Mandacaru is a fishing village - Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, Barreirinha City, Maranhão State, Brazil, whose name comes from the abundance of the cactus of the same name; from the top of the lighthouse we see a babaçual from the village, the Preguiça River flanked by restinga and mangrove, the beach and, almost imperceptible, the sea in a gray strip that blends in with the sky. The babassu palm has commercial importance in the use of the fruit as food and oil extraction for cosmetics, from the leaf to the handicraft and the stem to rural constructions.
