Description
This is a Winter picture of the historic Henry B. Clarke House considered the oldest surviving house in Chicago, located in Chicago, Illinois in Cook County. This two-story framed house is an example of Greek Revival architecture, it was built in 1836. The title of oldest is challenged by the Noble-Crippen house which was built outside the Chicago boundary in 1833, the area was not annexed into Chicago until 1993. This house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 6, 1971. This picture was taken on February 26, 2018.
