Title
San Francisco`s Warfield Theater, 2. #119060506
Description
Originally Loews Warfield when it opened in 1922, it was then known as Fox Warfield, until it was just `Warfield`. Both Loews and Fox were big theater chains, and David Warfield, for whom the theater is named, was a San Francisco native who was one of the biggest names in movies in the early twentieth century. Since the year 2000 it has become a big music venue, with many groups preferring the more intimate setting and better sound.
