Description
When the Warfield first opened, in 1922, it was originally the Loews Warfield, named for the founder Marcus Loew. The Warfield part comes from David Warfield, a famous actor at the time, from San Francisco.Since the theater opened in the 1920`s, and vaudeville was popular at the time, it was originally a vaudeville theater. It has been pretty much just a concert hall most of its life.As seen October 2021.
