Description
Pictured is an information plaque on the Birthplace of Seattle Monument on Alki Beach in Seattle, Washington. The Denny Party, led by Arthur Denny, arrived at Alki Point on November 3rd 1851, and soon platted what would eventually become the City of Seattle. The monument was unveiled September 4th, 1926. The plaque honors the Seattle founders with a record buried in a lead capsule north of the Monument in a concrete vault 18 inches below the ground.
