Pictured is a marble statue of Hercules stealing the belt of Hippolyte at the Michaelerplatz entrance to the Michaelertrakt, Hofburg Palace, Vienna, Austria. It represents one of the twelve labors of Hercules. Hippolyte was queen of the Amazons, a tribe of women warriors. Queen Hippolyte had a special piece of armor, a leather belt that had been given to her by Ares, the war god, because she was the best warrior of all the Amazons.
