St Mary & St Gabriel Church & Spire, Harting, Sussex, UK Stock Image

The large cruciform church of St Marys & St Gabriel in the village of Harting in West Sussex, UK is mostly early 14c, but there are signs of earlier work, which is possibly 11c and 13c. A fire in 1576 was the cause of much rebuilding, including the roofs.The church stands at the southern end of the village under the Downs, from which it is best seen. There have been many alterations over the centuries, the last being in 2010 when an extension with glass windows was added.
