Description
Wooden model of the Trevi Fountain conserved in the Museum of Rome, Palazzo Braschi, Italy. The model was realized from 1733 to 1735 following the project of Nicola Salvi the author of the Trevi Fountain in Rome. Located in the heart of Renaissance Rome, between Piazza Navona and Corso Vittorio Emanuele II Palazzo Braschi was the last palace builded for a nephew of a pope, Pius VII, in 18th century. From 1952 it houses the Museum of Rome that conserves examples of art, history and culture of the city, as well as the memory of the urban changes and those parts that were lost or disappeared in time.
