Description
The room of the owls in the Casina delle Civette, exceptional example of Roman Liberty style today Museum of Villa Torlonia, Rome, Italy. The room is named after the window of stained glass depicting two stylized owls among ivy shoots realized by the artist Duilio Cambellotti and the manufacture of Cesare Picchiarini after the renew of the so called Swiss Cottage in 1914. The house of the owls, which was the residence of Prince Giovanni Torlania the younger until his death in 1938, is today part of the Museum complex of Villa Torlonia and has been designated as the Museum of Liberty Glass.
