The first hall House of the Princes today Museum of Villa Torlonia in Rome, Italy. Among the original decorations recovered in the House of the Princes the elaborate floor mosaics are certainly worthy of mention. The early nineteenth century was characterized in Rome by a revival of this ancient form of decoration. The mosaics are made by Carlo Seni after a design design by Giovan Battista Caretti.Built in pseudo sixteenth century style and richly decorated the Casino of the Princes was designed by Giovan Battista Caretti, between 1835 and 1840, following the desire of Prince Alessandro Torlonia 1800-1886.Today the building is part of the museum complex and public park. The small and elegant house was used by Prince Alessandro Torlonia, during the sumptuous society events held in the Villa. Actually the museum is in use for temporary exhibitions.
