Title
Cold War Era M-36 Medium Tank #194617903
Description
The M-36 first went into service in 1952 as the Korean War was winding down. Essentially, it was a Cold War tank built to fight the USSR and Warsaw Pact nations on a European battlefield. The 90mm gun, powerful by WWII standards, lacked the power and range to be effective against Soviet tanks. This tank is on display at the George S. Patton Museum at Chiriaco Summit east of Palm Springs, California.
