Description
Pictured is the fourth of five bas-relief panels by cowboy artist Tom Ryan on the western facade of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. It is titled `The Remuda` and stretches across 350 feet. Ryan was 74 when his design featuring two cowboys rounding up 30 galloping ranch horses was accepted by the Cowboy Hall. It moved Ryan into a a completely new medium and presented altogether new challenges for the 74-year-old artist. The new medium was Styrofoam panels covered with a material called Dryvit.
