Playwright Edward Albee in the Press Room at the the 59th Annual Tony Awards held in Radio City Musica Hall in New York City on June 5, 2005. On this evening he was presented an award for lifetime contribution and achievement in the theater. Albee, one of America`s foremost playwrights, died at this home in Montauk, New York on September 16, 2016 at age 88. Albee won a Pulitzer Prize and three Tony Awards and is well known for his plays: Who`s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? The Zoo Story, Tiny Alice, A Delicate Balance, Three Tall Women, and The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?
