Description
Pictured are stela inside the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo, Egypt. A stela is a slab or slabs of stone with inscriptions or depictions which were used for commemorative purposes. These were from the VI Dynasty, Saqqara archaeological site. The museum was built in 1901 to a design by French architect Marcel Dourgnon. In 2022, the museum is due to be superseded by the newer and larger Grand Egyptian Museum at Giza.
