Description
Originally Jack`s Bar when first opened in 1933, and on Sutter Street at that time, it was also the first bar to service the African American community. After several successful decades, it had to move to make room for the new housing development of 1982. In 1977 the name was changed to John Lee Hooker`s Boom Boom Room, in recognition of his contribution to blues. As seen 14 December 2022.
