Liang Dynasty Thoughtful Bodhisattva Statue #297038195
Description
This is a single-figure Thoughtful Bodhisattva statue. The statue is missing its upper body, but the lower half and base are well-preserved. The Bodhisattva is seated in a half-lotus position on a vine seat. The right leg is bent and the left hand rests on the ankle. The left leg hangs down, with the foot resting on a small lotus seat. The lower body is covered by a long skirt, with vertical lines incised to represent the folds of the fabric.
