Description
Seahorses are a type of fish that live in the sea from the genus Hippocampus and the family Syngnathidae. This animal, which varies in size between 16 mm (for the Hippocampus denise species) to 35 cm, can be found in tropical and temperate waters throughout the world. Seahorses are the only species in which males can become pregnant. Female seahorses have a pouch at the front of their stomach and lay their eggs there. The male will incubate and carry these eggs until they hatch.
