Description
Two sides of an Italian 500 Lire money note printed in 1974. The lira (plural lire) was the currency of Italy between 1861 and 2002, and was replaced by the current currency - the Euro. The note is grayish purple on blue and multicolored underprint. The obverse (top) shows Mercury to the right, and the reverse (bottom) shows a pegasus with a rider. The note has a watermark of a star in a wreath. T
