The interior a kasba (or qasba, fortified settlement) built of pressed earth square tie-points of the wooden beams used in the construction . The qasba is outside the Moroccan town of Imouzzer Kandar in the Moroccan province of Sefrou. It is in the Middle Atlas on the road between Fez (Fès) and Meknès via Ifrane, at an altitude of 1300 metres, dominating the Saïs plain. The modern town was built in the early years of the French Protectorate as a resort and agricultural centre.
