Actress, dancer, and singer Chita Rivera, has been nominated for performances in 10 Broadway productions and is winner of 2 Tony Awards plus a third honorary Tony for Lifetime Achievement in the Theater participates in the Broadway on Broadway event in Times Square, New York City on September 9, 2012. Ms Rivera appeared on numerous television shows and films in her over 6 decade career. This event is a showcase for the season's coming musical productions and other theatrical productions. Rivera was the first Puerto Rican and first Latina to earn the Kennedy Center Honors and is a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. She died in New York City after a brief illness, on January 30, 2024. She was 91.
