Vixen Nursing Four Kits Stock Photo

A vixen in my neighborhood gave birth to 5 kits, or cubs. They are seen enjoying a warm spring morning outside the den, which is concealed behind the soil she has piled up. This is the second year she used this den, but has now moved on to a quieter spot in the surrounding forest area. She is nursing four of her five kits - one seems to be upset that it is left out.
