Description
Spotted Dove (Spilopelia chinensis) is a bird species belonging to the family Dove and the genus Dove. Medium in size, with a body length of 27-34cm and a weight of 120-205g. The feathers of female and male birds are similar, but the feathers of female birds are not as bright as those of male birds. The feather color of the pearl necked dove from the forehead to the top of the head is slightly light, gray or pink gray. The base of the neck and back neck feathers is black, and the top is white, forming clear and dense white pearl shaped feather spots. The upper body is mostly brown or pinkish brown, with black brown wings. The tail is long, with a brown central tail feather, a black brown outer tail feather, and a white end, which is noticeable during flight. The lower body is pink, and only the lower feathers of the tail feathers are gray.
