The Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome will be demolished in 2014. The Metrodome was a domed sports stadium located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. It was completed and opened in 1982. It replaced Minnesotas Metropolitan Stadium, which was located where the the Mall of America is today in Bloomington, Minnesota. Metrodome was the home to the National Football Leagues (NFL) Minnesota Vikings from 1982 to 2013. And, it was home to Major League Baseballs (MLB) Minnesota Twins from 1982 to 2009. The stadium had a fiberglass fabric roof that is supported by air pressure. The Metrodome was the ninth-oldest stadium in the NFL and will be replaced in the same location by a new Vikings Stadium by 2016.
