Brown was a commander of the 94th squadron of the Tuskegee, Alabama Flight School who played a vital role in the European theater of the conflict. Brown was accomplished in academia as well. He was a professor at NYU and was the President of The Bronx Community for 16 years. He died at 94 on July 2, 2016.
