Renowned American violinist Isaac Stern greets Herbert Friedman, a winner in physics for his pioneering investigations of solar x-rays. He was employed at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. The venue is the Knesset, the Israel Parliament building. Stern, the recipient of countless international awards, was a long-time devoted friend of Israel and was considered by many the premier violinist of his era.
